Michael Loftus has been named Yale New Haven Hospital senior vice president, Operations and executive director, Neurosciences and Orthopedic Services. Loftus joined Yale New Haven 24 years ago and has served in a variety of positions, most recently as vice president of Operations, Neurosciences, Orthopedics and Spine. In his new role, he will continue to partner with Yale School of Medicine clinical chiefs in Orthopedics, Neurosurgery and Neurology to grow destination services, and will oversee development of the Center for Clinical Neurosciences at the Saint Raphael Campus. Loftus earned a BS in business administration at the University of Connecticut and an MBA at the University of New Haven.

Francine LoRusso, RN, MHA, has been named vice president and executive director for Heart and Vascular Services. She is also vice president of Transplantation and Medicine services. LoRusso has been instrumental in developing an infrastructure for Heart and Vascular services across Yale New Haven Health System. In her expanded Heart and Vascular role, she will work closely with YNHHS delivery networks, Yale Medicine and Northeast Medical Group leadership to continue growing specialty Heart and Vascular services throughout YNHHS. LoRusso joined Yale New Haven 38 years ago and has held a variety of clinical nursing and senior leadership roles. She earned her BSN and MHA at Quinnipiac University.

Todd Hedges has been named director of Facilities Engineering, YNHH York Street Campus and Shoreline Medical Center. He was most recently manager of the HVAC Shop/Maintenance Mechanics and Grounds Crew. Before joining YNHH, Hedges worked in Facilities Engineering with United Technologies and construction management at Turner Construction Co. He earned his MS in operations management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Nicholas Zauner has been named executive director of Facilities Engineering, Yale New Haven Health. He joined Yale New Haven Hospital in 2011 as manager of Mechanical Systems at the York Street Campus, and has served since 2015 as director of Facilities Engineering at the Saint Raphael Campus. Zauner earned his BS in fire protection engineering from the University of New Haven.
