Rehabilitation and Wellness Center earns national patient experience award
The YNHH Rehabilitation and Wellness Center recently celebrated its second Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence award for outstanding patient satisfaction.
For the second time, Yale New Haven Hospital’s Rehabilitation and Wellness Center has earned the Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award for achieving patient satisfaction scores above the 95th percentile each month during fiscal year 2019.
“This distinction recognizes the staff’s professionalism, compassion and the relationships they build with patients and families,” said John Tarutis, YNHHS director of Post-Acute Services.
The 24-bed center opened in 2015 in what was previously Milford Hospital and is now the Milford Campus of Bridgeport Hospital. The Rehabilitation and Wellness Center provides one-on-one, intensive therapy for patients from throughout the region with neurological disorders, trauma, limb loss, joint replacements and other conditions. The center also provides support services. Care team members include physicians specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation and other areas, nurses certified in rehabilitation and physical, occupational and speech therapists with advanced skills.
“The YNHH Rehabilitation and Wellness Center at the Milford Campus is truly a place that exemplifies collaboration, teamwork and expertise,” said Brooke Spadaccino, RN, director of nursing, Orthopedic and Spine Services. “I could not be more proud of their commitment and dedication to ensuring our patients and families receive the best care.”
