Quarter Century Club

The year was 1990. Nelson Mandela was released from prison in South Africa. Driving Miss Daisy won the Academy Award for Best Picture. A gallon of gas cost $1.34. And 28 people started their careers as employees of Bridgeport, Greenwich or Yale New Haven hospitals or other departments which are now part of Yale New Haven Health System. Each employee was honored for his or her 25 years of service during a celebratory dinner at the New Haven Lawn Club April 5. Joining the inductees were milestone members celebrating 30, 35, 40, 45 and 55 years of service. Judith Kanoff, Finance, laughed with YNHHS President and CEO Marna Borgstrom, who good-naturedly joked about Kanoff's 55-year tenure. Borgstrom noted how the inductees were connected, not just through employment with the system, but through their values and work ethic. Pictured above, Harry Tramontano, Admitting, receives a boutonniere in honor of his induction into the YNHHS Quarter Century Club.
