Smilow Cancer Hospital will hold free mammography and dermatology screenings at the Special Olympics Connecticut Summer Games, 10 am - 3 pm Friday, June 8, Southern Connecticut State University, Wintergreen Avenue, New Haven. The event will also feature informational tables on head and neck, colorectal, cervical, lung and prostate cancers.
Local pulmonary and pediatric experts will discuss developments in pulmonary care related to shared clinical practice guidelines during a presentation, “Beyond Clinical Practice Guidelines: Caring for the Severe Asthmatic in a New Era.” The dinner presentation will be offered twice for primary care clinicians, pulmonologists and pediatricians: 6 - 8 pm Monday, June 11, Saybrook Point Inn and Spa, Old Saybrook; or June 20 at Il Palio Ristorante, Shelton. Continuing medical education credit will be available.
