The Employee Assistance Society of North America (EASNA) recently presented its 12th annual Corporate Award to Yale New Haven Health for the Employee and Family Resources (EFR) program.
Each year, EASNA recognizes a company that demonstrates excellence and innovation in its employee assistance programming and service delivery. An independent panel of judges selected YNHHS for its extensive programs, leadership and support, impressive outcomes and impact on the health system’s workplace.
YNHHS’ comprehensive EFR program includes work/life and legal/financial services, along with internal resources dedicated to wellness. Key program elements also include meditations, depression screenings, awareness trainings for supervisors and mindfulness programs to help employees develop resilience in the face of daily caregiving stresses.
To meet the unique needs of a health system, EFR also offers the Resident Wellness Visit Program for medical residents to increase resilience and prevent burnout. An on-site counselor teaches first-year residents about the program and provides an opportunity to discuss concerns.
EASNA is a trade association focused on advancing knowledge, research and best practices toward achieving healthy and productive workplaces.
