This summer, 37 student nurses from academic institutions throughout the U.S. are working at Yale New Haven Hospital to improve their understanding of the professional nurse’s role. Interns are working for 10 weeks in various service lines, learning clinical skills by providing patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse and attending patient care conferences and team rounds. YNHH’s student nurse interns this summer are from American International College, Catholic University, James Madison University, Lynchburg College, Mount Saint Mary College, Pace University, Quinnipiac University, Sacred Heart University, Salve Regina University, Southern Connecticut State University, University of Connecticut, University of Delaware, University of New Hampshire, University of Rhode Island, University of Saint Joseph, Villanova University, University of Virginia and Western Connecticut State University.
