Suzan Barnett; Chistine Boland, RN; and Stephen J. Huot, MD, PhD


Suzan Barnett, senior human resources business partner, YNHH, has been named president-elect of the Connecticut Healthcare Human Resources Association (CHHRA). Barnett earned her BA and her MBA, with a concentration in human resources, from the University of New Haven. CHHRA works to advance development of effective human resources administration in healthcare institutions, encourage information exchange and further members' professional education and personal development.

Christine Boland, RN, BSN, has been named patient service manager, Temple Surgical Center. She began her career as a staff nurse at Griffin Hospital, and later joined the Medical Intensive Care Unit at Yale New Haven Hospital in 1986. She served as assistant patient service manager for YNHH's Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) before becoming nurse manager of the PACU at the Surgery Center of Fairfield. Boland earned her BSN from Sacred Heart University and is a certified post anesthesia nurse.

Stephen J. Huot, MD, PhD, has been appointed designated institutional official for Yale New Haven Hospital and associate dean for Graduate Medical Education at Yale School of Medicine (YSM). He will oversee residency programs at YNHH. Dr. Huot is a professor of medicine and vice chair for Education and Academic Affairs in the department of Internal Medicine at YSM. He earned his MD from Duke University and PhD in physiology from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. He completed his internal medicine residency and nephrology fellowship training at YNHH. During his 27 years with YNHH and YSM, Dr. Huot has served in a number of academic and administrative positions, including director of the Primary Care Residency Program and co-director of the Combined Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Residency.
