Due to COVID-19, Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital’s Child Life Program will not hold its traditional Halloween event this year, but has other fun activities planned for young patients. One is an online “Show Your Halloween Spirit Kudoboard.” Hospital employees and departments are invited to post photos, short videos and supportive messages for pediatric patients and their families on the board. Visit the Kudoboard by midnight Oct. 28 to submit a post. Child Life will surprise patients and their families with a link to the board Oct. 30. Also on that day, patients will receive treat bags containing employee-donated items. Throughout Halloween week, Child Life will offer virtually guided craft activities to patients and distribute costumes donated by Spirit Halloween Shops.
