Yale New Haven Hospital’s annual Founders’ Day program will be at 1:30 pm Thursday, Nov. 9, in the Saint Raphael Campus Chapel.
The interfaith service, themed “Let there be peace, love and caring among us,” will also celebrate the fifth anniversary of the Hospital of Saint Raphael’s integration with Yale New Haven Hospital. All members of the YNHH community are invited.
Introduced in 2013, Founders’ Day celebrates the legacy of caring of the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth, founders of the former Hospital of Saint Raphael, which joined Yale New Haven Hospital in September 2012.
Through popular music and readings provided by YNHH staff, this year’s program seeks to bring calm and healing to an often distressing world, while reflecting on the importance of respect and tolerance.
Program participants will include Marna P. Borgstrom, CEO, YNHHS; Richard D’Aquila, president, YNHH; Chris O’Connor, executive vice president and chief operating officer, YNHHS; Sister Rosemary Moynihan, general superior of the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth and a YNHH trustee; and other hospital leaders, staff, physicians and volunteers.
A reception in the chapel vestibule will follow.
The Founders’ Day program will be broadcast on the SRC Chapel Channel, accessible to patients and staff.
Help YNHH celebrate the five-year anniversary of the Hospital of Saint Raphael joining Yale New Haven. Join hospital leaders at 2:30 pm Thursday, Nov. 8, YSC East Pavilion cafeteria or SRC All Spice Café to kick-off the celebration. More details to come.
