Gospel concert Nov. 18
Yale New Haven Health System is a sponsor of the Nuland Foundation for Palliative Care’s free “To Life!” gospel concert, 8 pm Saturday, Nov. 18, Battell Chapel, 400 College St., New Haven. The Heritage Chorale of New Haven will perform a story of how palliative medicine is an integral part of living well with serious disease.
Leukemia presentation Nov. 29
All employees are invited to Smilow Cancer Hospital’s Grand Rounds for the Non-Clinician, noon - 1 pm Wednesday, Nov. 29, 55 Park St. auditorium. Thomas Prebet, MD, PhD, will discuss leukemias. Coagulation factors to be dispensed from Pharmacy

Hospital honored for workplace health
YNHH recently achieved silver-level recognition on the American Heart Association Workplace Health Achievement Index for taking significant
steps to build a culture of health in the workplace. The index allows companies to measure the effectiveness of their workplace health programs, as well as the overall heart health of their employees. It uses science-based best practices to evaluate the overall quality and comprehensiveness of workplace health programs.
