Turtles, whales and fish are swimming in a sea of asphalt at the Sherman-Tyler parking lot, thanks to Valet Park of America employee Mohamed Saadi. Seeing a blank canvas in the islands that dot the lot, he painstakingly created sea creatures, insects, birds and other animals with rocks. He decorated them by planting flowers and greenery that he waters using jugs he fills at the Saint Raphael Campus. Employees have contributed mulch and plants to the mini-gardens. Saadi began creating the island gardens in May and has been making employees who park there smile ever since.
