YNHH receives community service award

Keith Churchwell, MD, accepted a community service award on behalf of YNHH from Alison Cunningham, chief executive officer, Columbus House.

At the Columbus House Annual Meeting Dec. 1, Yale New Haven Hospital was honored with the John S. Martinez Community Service Award. Keith Churchwell, MD, senior vice president, Operations, and executive director, Heart and Vascular and Transplantation Services, accepted the award on the hospital's behalf. YNHH has supported Columbus House for the 34 years of the shelter's existence, helping to coordinate the medical needs of homeless people in New Haven.
