New lab benefit available

Effective Jan. 1, Yale New Haven Health System employees and their family members covered by the YNHHS health plan will pay less for basic lab services at most health system labs and draw stations.

Many basic routine lab services will be covered for up to a maximum $30 copay (no deductible) when using any of the YNHHS lab facilities and blood draw stations throughout Connecticut and at Westerly Hospital in Rhode Island. This new lab benefit helps encourage employees to use YNHHS facilities, which are often more convenient. There is no change to the coverage if employees choose to use other lab providers.
