Celebration focuses on self-care, growth and recognition

YNHH’s business associates, unit associates, clerical associates, information associates and clinical services assistants marked their day April 22 with a special celebration. The annual event honors staff members in these positions for length of service, advancement on the clinical ladder and awards they’ve received throughout the year. Keynote speaker Catherine Alvarez, RN, education specialist, Center for Professional Practice Excellence, discussed the importance of resilience in what can be a stressful environment. She engaged the audience in various exercises to improve resiliency, including self-reflection and stretching. Speakers Michael Holmes, senior vice president, Operations, and Ena Williams, RN, chief nursing officer, praised attendees for excellence in their roles and their commitment to professional growth.
