Resilience is important for your well-being

Our personal and professional lives are busier and more stressful than ever. YNHHS employees have provided feedback indicating their desire to build resilience and cope with stress.

The health system is doing its part to reduce workplace stress by addressing issues such as staffing levels and patient volume, and creating a culture of health, safety and well-being. This year’s Know Your Numbers Plus (KYN+) program introduces a new personal choice activity designed to help employees build resilience to better prepare them for whatever life brings.

Why is resilience important?

Resilience is your inner core that helps you respond positively to whatever life brings – to bounce back and keep going.

Being resilient is vital in today’s world. The greater your resilience, the easier it is to manage stress and live a meaningful and satisfying life, wherever you are.

Resilient people learn and grow stronger from their experiences and adapt to changing circumstances.

The new KYN+ personal choice activity is a confidential, 15-question online tool that will help you understand and build your personal resilience. Only you can access your individual resilience assessment. After completing it, you will be directed to supportive, internal resources and tools offered through YNHHS. Completing the online assessment tool and education also earns $150 in KYN+ credit.
