A celebration of collaboration

grisotti halbert
Roberta Chuong, RN, resource and education coordinator, Center for Professional Practice Excellence, presented the Resident + Nurse Collaboration Award to Gordon Pace, MD (left). Gabriella Grisotti, MD, surgery resident, presented the award to Kelsey Halbert, RN (right).

On May 4, Kelsey Halbert, RN, stroke nurse navigator, and Gordon Pace, MD, internal medicine resident, became the first recipients of Yale New Haven Hospital’s new Resident + Nurse Collaboration Awards.

The monthly awards recognize nurses and physicians-in-training who demonstrate teamwork and exemplify the collaborative spirit critical to patient care. Justine Cormier, MD, neurology resident, nominated Halbert; Jenna Glorioso, RN, Medical Intensive Care Unit (Verdi 3 North and West), nominated Pace.

Nurses may nominate a resident or fellow for the award, and vice versa. An online nomination form is available under the “tools” tab in Epic. Nominators must complete a short statement about how the nominee meets award criteria. Nominations are due by the first of each month.

To learn more, visit the award page in Epic, or contact Rosemarie Fisher, MD, [email protected].
