Young visitors get a look behind the scenes

YNHH hosted more than 200 youngsters at the hospital's 14th annual Take Your Child to Work Day recently. Hospital employees' children visited departments at both campuses, including the Operating Rooms, Heart and Vascular, Laboratory Medicine, Food and Nutrition, Respiratory Therapy, Rehabilitation, Protective Services and the Emergency Department. Michelle Barrett, lead phlebotomist, Laboratory Medicine, showed Abby Sigovitch, daughter of Kevin Sigovitch, RN, patient service manager, SRC ED, how her veins look below the skin's surface. Khira Stephens, daughter of Padwell Julien, compensation analyst, Human Resources, personalized her face mask following a session with Respiratory Therapy.
