Dozens of nurses, hospital staff and YNHH leaders filled the Smilow Cancer Hospital lobby Sept. 2 to bid farewell to four appraisers from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. As part of the hospital's quest for Magnet^® re-designation, the appraisers spent a week at YNHH, meeting with clinical nurses at the York Street, Saint Raphael, Bridgeport and Milford Hospital campuses, along with numerous ambulatory sites. The ANCC's decision on whether the hospital will receive Magnet re-designation is expected in two to three months.
