A number of employees are also caregivers on their own time, helping family members young and old, and loved ones with special needs.
On the job and at home, caregivers can experience stress and exhaustion, and find it difficult to make time for themselves and meet their own needs. YNHH's Employee and Family Resources (EFR) program can help, by providing:
- Resources for employees and/or loved ones, including community services, support groups and special needs and respite programs. The EFR also has a Caregiver Support Kit.
- In-person, telephone or video counseling from a licensed counselor to help you cope with stress and strategize about the best ways to care for a loved one and meet your own needs.
- Educational materials, including articles, webinars, tip sheets and other resources.
