Nita Ahuja, MD, MBA; Jane Wagner, RN, MHA


Nita Ahuja, MD, MBA, has been named chief of Surgery at Yale New Haven Hospital and chair of the Department of Surgery at Yale School of Medicine. She was previously the Jacob C. Handelsman Professor in Abdominal Surgery and professor of surgery, oncology and urology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She was also chief of Surgical Oncology at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and vice chair of academic affairs for the Department of Surgery and associate director of the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins.  Dr. Ahuja earned her medical degree at the Duke University School of Medicine, and completed her general surgery training and a fellowship in surgical oncology at Johns Hopkins.

Jane Wagner, RN, MHA, has been named executive director, Perioperative Patient Care Services. She joined Yale New Haven Hospital in 2014 as director of Nursing for Perioperative Services, York Street Campus. Before that, she was senior director for Perioperative Services at Scottsdale Healthcare Shea Medical Center, Scottsdale, AZ. She earned her BSN from Arizona State University and her master’s in healthcare administration/informatics from the University of Phoenix.
