Free utility clinic May 11

Yale New Haven Hospital will offer a free utility clinic for residents who are experiencing problems with their utility bills. Attendees can receive budget counseling, meet with utility company representatives and learn about special programs for lowincome families. The clinic will be 9 am - 1 pm Thursday, May 11, East Pavilion Cafeteria special events area. Patient safety and quality seminar series

The Center for Healthcare Innovation, Redesign and Learning (CHIRAL) at Yale University is presenting a safety and quality seminar series which will include projects in progress and other quality and safety efforts. Presenters from YNHH and Yale schools of Medicine, Nursing and Public Health will present. Seminars will be held 3 - 4 pm in the seminar room at 55 Park St. The next seminar is Wednesday, July 26, “Improving Care of Infants Withdrawing from Opiate Addiction.” Registration is not required. Braille documents available

YNHH Language Services has important documents available in Braille to loan to staff. A list is available on the intranet under “Documents” and “Patient Education and Translated Documents” (http://translation. ynhh.org/) in the Braille section. To request documents on weekdays and regular business hours, email [email protected]. After hours, on weekends and holidays and for emergencies, call the Language Services phone portal at 111, option 6. You must provide the patient’s name and medical record number; provider’s name, location and phone number; requestor’s name; location, date and time for delivery; and the form number (available on the website).
