Communications workshop available for clinical staff
Yale New Haven Health physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses and licensed technologists are urged to sign up for the “Enhancing Relationship- Centered Communication” course offered through YNHHS Patient Experience.
The goal of the one-day workshop is to enhance relationships between YNHHS employees and patients and their families, as well as enhance employees’ communication and relationships with colleagues. Each session includes classroom presentations, live demonstrations and practice activities with feedback to enhance relationship-centered communication skills.
Each class is limited to 12 participants to encourage active participation. All sessions are 8 am - 3 pm at the YNHHS SYN:APSE Center for Learning, Transformation and Innovation, 730 Howard Ave., New Haven. Classes will soon be offered at other YNHHS delivery networks. Yale New Haven staff and physicians who recently graduated from a “train the trainers” program will provide Enhancing Relationship-Centered Communication sessions to select care providers throughout the health system.
