Dental department now on Epic

Yale New Haven Hospital’s Dental department recently adopted Epic, expanding providers’ access to adult and pediatric patients’ complete electronic medical records and a variety of electronic tools designed to enhance the quality and efficiency of care.
Patients of Dental facilities in the Dana Building at the York Street Campus, Orchard Medical Building at the Saint Raphael Campus, Hamden Professional Building and One Long Wharf in New Haven can now access their medical information via the MyChart patient portal.
“The Epic rollout has been a great success, thanks to collaboration among physician leadership, department staff and Information Technology Services," said Derek Steinbacher, MD, DMD, chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dentistry.
