This fall, Employee and Family Resources is offering Mindful Solutions, a free, six-week course on both formal and informal mindfulness practices for caregivers and employees. Attendees will learn to be more aware of the present moment and tap into a peaceful state of mind amidst the chaos of a hectic life. The course will also teach breathing meditation, body scans, mindful movement and mindfulness at work. The Day Care Centers at both Yale New Haven Hospital campuses recently earned renewal of their five-year accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) after a rigorous reaccreditation process. Accreditation indicates that the centers meet standards for providing the highest-quality care to children and their families. The YNHH centers averaged an over 100 percent rating on all 10 NAEYC program standards, including advanced standards.
