Yale New Haven Health System has contracted with new vendors for forms and other printed materials and promotional items such as pens, bags and other giveaways.
Effective this month, employees will use an online Marketplace to order these items from the new vendors and access the health system’s Brand Center. For instructions on using Marketplace, click the “tutorial” links on the site.
American Solutions for Business (ASB) is the new vendor for business cards, envelopes, letterhead, clinical forms, brochures and other printed items previously ordered through Taylor Communications (formerly Standard Register and WorkFlowOne). Items previously stored with Taylor have been moved to ASB.
For promotional items, including giveaways, employees must also order via the new Marketplace site, which includes YNHHS-approved vendors. YNHHS will not pay or reimburse for items ordered from non-approved vendors. Please note: A purchase order (PO) number will be required for all promotional items orders. Employees should speak with their managers about requesting a PO for orders, or contact Richard Dowling, Procurement Operations, [email protected] or 203-688-5673 for assistance.
Employees will continue to order YNHHS uniforms and apparel items from Feury, which will also be available via the Marketplace site.
YNHHS has worked with the new vendors to lower costs and improve quality, efficiency and service. Approved vendors will have the appropriate logos for each YNHHS entity and understand YNHHS branding guidelines.
In the past, promotional items were ordered from numerous different vendors nationwide, which made ordering and billing processes less efficient and prevented YNHHS from getting volume discounts. Earlier this year, YNHHS’ Corporate Contracting department invited 15 of the most frequently used vendors to bid on contracts with the health system. The department chose several vendors based on a number of criteria, including pricing and discounts; location, with preference given to Connecticut companies; diversity, including companies owned by and employing minorities, women and veterans; and other factors.
To order items not in the online catalogs, employees should submit a request via YNHHS’ Brand Center.
