Things are looking up in the Atrium

atrium

YNHH Facilities Engineering staff and contractors in September started an eight-week project involving improvements in the York Street Campus Atrium. The work includes repairing some fittings on sprinkler pipes that are 40 feet up, along with cleaning, skylight maintenance, installation of new LED lights and tree trimming. During the project, tables have been relocated to different areas of the Atrium and the East Pavilion special events area has been opened for dining. Protective Services, Food and Nutrition, Volunteer and Guest Services and Smilow Cancer Hospital leadership also helped coordinate the project. Facilities Engineering staff recently prepared the Atrium for the project, including (l-r): Bill Mahon and Olegario Rosete, maintenance specialists; John Gaffney, supervisor, carpentry and maintenance; and Carlos Rivera, maintenance specialist.
