Anne Murphy, Mary Hogan
PEACE recognition announced
These employees received PEACE (Patient Experience Award for Caring and Excellence) recognition for going above and beyond to meet patients’ and families’ needs.
Anne Murphy, clinical social worker, was recognized for supporting patients at the Nathan Smith Clinic throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Murphy reached out daily to patients with mental health issues to ensure they were safe and emotionally well. In addition, she coordinated the mailing of 200 masks to patients’ homes, and arranged to have groceries delivered to elderly patients living alone so they did not have to go to the store.
Mary Hogan, care manager, Care Management, was honored for compassionate actions on behalf of a discharged patient who had left his belongings at the hospital, including his prosthetics. It was late in the day and a messenger delivery could not be arranged, so Hogan volunteered to personally deliver the patient’s belongings to his home so the patient did not have to be physically limited.
All employees, physicians and volunteers are eligible for the monthly PEACE recognition. Send nominations to:
