Hospital to host seminar on leading causes of death in U.S.

Healthcare professionals are invited to a seminar, “There and Back Again: Facing our Greatest Enemies,” 7 am - 4 pm Saturday, Sept. 7, Trumbull Marriott, Shelton, 180 Hawley Lane (virtual option available). Continuing education credits will be provided.

Presentations and breakout sessions featuring physicians, APPs and other professionals will cover a wide range of diseases and conditions, including cardiovascular disease, different types of cancer, diabetes and Alzheimer’s and dementia. Other topics include gun violence, lifestyle medicine, opiate use disorder and falls.

A portion of registration fees will be donated to local organizations that are fighting these conditions. Fees for the in-person event are:

• Physicians: $150
• APPs and trainees: $125
• Nurses and allied health personnel: $50
• Webinar (virtual) and on-demand access fee: $100
