Clock ticking on this year’s KYN Plus program

The clock is ticking, but it’s not too late to benefit from the 2024 Know Your Numbers (KYN) Plus annual wellness program. In fact, there is still plenty of time for benefits-eligible employees to sign up for an onsite biometric screening, take the online health assessment and complete personal choice activities to earn up to $500 credit toward the 2025 YNHHS medical plan premium.

This year’s program is already showing positive outcomes. As of June 25, nearly twice as many employees – 2,109 total – completed a biometric screening, compared with 1,085 employees at this time last year. Onsite biometric screenings end Aug. 16, and all personal choice activities and documents must be completed and submitted in the Virgin Pulse Platform by Aug. 23, 2024.

Onsite biometric screenings, available at all delivery networks, measure blood pressure, cholesterol, height, weight and body mass index. The online health assessment evaluates an individual’s health status, risks and habits. Employees must complete both to earn any premium incentive, and the two activities will earn $300 toward the $500 maximum.

Online health assessment participation has also increased to 4,388 assessments completed as of June 25, compared with 843 last year at this time. Similarly, all personal choice activities are on the rise, with 186 Next-Step Consults completed by late June.

The consult, a 15-minute telephone consultation with a health coach, serves as a follow-up after the biometric screenings to review employees’ results, discuss personal health goals and find programs or resources that will best support their wellness goals. Next-Step Consult appointments are easy to book in the Virgin Pulse platform and provide employees with an email reminder and easy rescheduling if needed.
