NEMG rolls out new self-check-in kiosks

A self-check-in kiosk stands ready to help patients at the NEMG Multispecialty Center in North Haven.

YNHHS has continued to evolve its patient-centered registration process. To accommodate higher patient volume without longer lines or changes in front desk staffing, several NEMG practices have implemented self-check-in kiosks.

Increasingly popular in healthcare settings, the kiosks allow patients to check themselves in for appointments, update personal information and provide necessary medical history information. Additional benefits include increased efficiency and less burden on front desk staff, freeing them to perform other tasks. Patients also appreciate the convenience and privacy of a self-check-in kiosk, as it eliminates the need to discuss personal medical information with people other than their clinicians.
