West Tower 6 at Bridgeport Hospital earns the Capacity Champion’s Cup
Congratulations to the staff of West Tower 6 (WT6), which received Bridgeport Hospital’s Capacity Champions Cup. The award recognizes units that meet discharge targets for the most days in the previous two months. The award is part of Yale New Haven Health’s efforts to improve patient throughput by ensuring that patients who are clinically ready to leave the acute care setting experience a safe and timely discharge. WT6 met its discharge target 44 of 61 days (72 percent) in May and June, which represents exemplary teamwork, communication and dedication to safe patient flow.
