Jeannette Bronsord, RN, DNP, executive director, Yale New Haven Hospital Surgical Services, recently received the Janet Madigan Award from the Organization of Nursing Leadership (ONL) in New England. The award recognizes a leader who demonstrates excellence as a community advocate by calling attention to a critical issue and offering expert knowledge of nursing and health care to a broad audience. Bronsord is on the ONL Board and a member of the Government Affairs Committee representing Connecticut. She participates in Connecticut Nurses Association monthly discussions about legislative priorities and is on the American Hospital Association Committee on Clinical Leadership.
