On Sept. 29, Yale New Haven Hospital employees joined participants in the 5K Run/Walk To Save a Life in memory of Christopher Andreozzi, a psychiatric APRN at the hospital who passed away last year from sudden cardiac death caused by an arrhythmia. Proceeds from the Hamden run/walk were donated to the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline and the Sudden Arrhythmia Death Syndromes Foundation. Healthcare professionals, including many from YNHH, taught participants of all ages how to perform CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED).
