Hospital celebrates Emergency Nurses Week

In October, Bridgeport Hospital joined the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) in celebrating Emergency Nurses Week, a time designated to honor the incredible work of emergency nurses around the world.

“Celebrating Emergency Department (ED) staff is important for recognizing their contributions, boosting morale, promoting teamwork and raising awareness about the essential role they play in health care,” said Keri Bill, RN, ED nurse manager. “ED staff work in a high-pressure environment. Honoring their contributions acknowledges their hard work and commitment to caring for our community.”

During the week staff enjoyed raffles, massages, sandwiches and ice cream, along with a wellness cart that provided a special treat. Staff from the Bridgeport Hospital and Milford Campus EDs attended a dinner at the Bridge House Restaurant in Milford to celebrate winning the ENA Lantern Award this year.
