NE 7 earns Capacity Champions Cup

Congratulations to the staff of Northeast 7 (NE7), who won the July – August 2024 Capacity Champions Cup. This is the unit’s fourth win – the most at Bridgeport Hospital since the award started in July 2022.  The Capacity Champions Cup recognizes units that meet their daily discharge target the most days in the previous two months. It is part of Yale New Haven Health’s efforts to improve patient throughput by ensuring that patients who are clinically ready to leave the acute-care setting experience a safe and timely discharge. NE7 met its daily discharge target 44 of 62 days (71 percent) in July and August, thanks to exemplary teamwork, communication and dedication to safe patient flow.
