Greenwich Hospital was recently named a top performer in the 2024 Bernard A. Birnbaum, MD, Quality Leadership Study by Vizient, Inc. The hospital was recognized for excellence in delivering high-quality care based on the Vizient Quality and Accountability Study, conducted annually since 2005.
This year, 860 hospitals participated in the Vizient study, which measures performance in six domains: safety, mortality, effectiveness, efficiency, patient -centeredness and equity. The study helps participating hospitals and health systems understand their performance against their peers and identifies quality and safety processes across a broad spectrum of patient care activity.
“We pride ourselves on our extraordinary patient care,” said Greenwich Hospital President Diane Kelly, RN, DNP. “And Dr. Michael Franco, who oversees our quality charge, along with our staff, works tirelessly to find creative solutions geared toward enhancing the patient experience.”
“Leading hospitals are leveraging data and analytics to provide superior clinical outcomes,” said David Levine, MD, Vizient chief medical officer. “This award honors Greenwich Hospital for demonstrating leadership focused on results and a culture of collaboration and adaptability that is necessary to succeed.”
