Home Infusion has 500 reasons to celebrate

Yale New Haven Health Home Infusion recently hit a milestone – caring for its 500th patient. Launched in 2023 at the Regional Operations Center in West Haven, it provides a wide range of infusion services and intravenous therapies – all in the comfort and convenience of a familiar setting for patients. Home Infusion’s team of clinical pharmacists, certified pharmacy technicians and registered nurses manage medications, offer insurance and financial assistance and provide education and clinical support 24/7, 365 days a year. It’s a safe and effective alternative to hospital infusions for many patients, said Nicholas LaRiviere, PharmD, Home Infusion director. “Our nursing and pharmacy teams are providing home infusion care for patients across the  majority of the health system, with patients being seen in their homes in all four corners of the state.”
