On Nov. 4, employees past and present joined Yale New Haven leaders and members of the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth for a Founders’ Day interfaith service at the Saint Raphael Campus. The day honors the legacy of caring of the Sisters, who founded the former Hospital of Saint Raphael in 1907 and sponsored it until its integration with YNHH in 2012. The Sisters of Charity remain committed to the hospital’s success, with a five-year pledge to support the Adams Neurosciences Center project currently under way at the SRC. Among the service attendees were (l-r): Sister Joan Repka; Pamela Sutton-Wallace, YNHHS president; Katherine Heilpern, MD, YNHH president; Sister Maureen Shaughnessy, general superior, Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth; Sister Mary Morley; Sister Rosemary Moynihan; Sister Jean Ann Trainor; Christopher O’Connor, YNHHS CEO; Sister Ellen Dauwer; and Pamela Scagliarini, senior vice president, Adams Neurosciences Center project.
