When it comes to your employee benefits, you deserve the best information to make the best decisions. Our experts at HRConnect make it their business to help employees understand the benefits programs Yale New Haven Health offers.
Yale New Haven Health offers a Tuition Reimbursement Program that can help you pay for college, business or trade school courses while you are employed with our health system.
Active employees must be scheduled to work at least 24 hours per week for courses taken at an accredited college or university toward an associate, bachelor’s or master’s degree, or at an approved business or trade school. Certain job-required certificate and GED programs are also included. You are eligible immediately upon hire for classes that begin on or after your hire date. You need to apply for the Tuition Reimbursement Program.
The program reimburses you for a portion of expenses toward tuition, certain fees and out-of-pocket costs (excluding books) – provided they are not paid for or reimbursed by a scholarship or grant. During a calendar year, full-time employees can receive up to $5,200; part-time employees up to $3,500.
Upon successfully completing your courses, visit the EdAssist website to submit your grades and an itemized statement of tuition, fees and proof of payment within 90 days to receive reimbursement.
Before you enroll, review program details on HRConnect, talk with your manager or call EdAssist at 844-266-1531. VNA employees should contact HRConnect at 1-844-543-2147 for slight variations in program eligibility and requirements.
