New HRConnect
The new HRConnect sports a clean, well-organized home page that serves as a gateway to HR information for employees and managers.

A fresh look with new, user-friendly features launches this month on HRConnect, the YNHHS employee online HR information and resources site. The upgrades will enhance the employee digital experience when searching for HR-related services and information and improve the onboarding process for new employees and their hiring managers.

“Employees told us it can be difficult finding information and they wanted better resources for answers to their HR-related questions, whenever and wherever they need them,” said Jodie Boldrighini, YNHHS vice president, Human Resources. “In response, HR teamed up with Digital Technology Solutions to address these concerns and develop a new and improved HRConnect site.”

Phase one of the HRConnect upgrade includes several features that improve employee self-service: streamlined navigation that better organizes content by topics; spotlights on frequently asked questions; and timely topics for required action. There is also a new, robust search engine and auto-fill forms.

“Additionally, many managers across the health system, as well as newly hired employees, expressed that new employee onboarding was often challenging and cumbersome, and asked for ways to streamline the process,” Boldrighini continued. “We have added features to improve the onboarding process for both groups.”

For new employees, the new system automates and personalizes the information they receive and actions they need to take – and provides the links to complete them – all through one central system. For example, direct deposit forms, parking applications, benefits enrollment and scheduling Occupational Health appointments can be completed in one place.

Onboarding also will be simpler and more efficient for hiring managers. The new site includes a manager dashboard listing the actions needed for each new hire, with direct links to complete tasks such as ordering computer equipment and setting up access to systems. Managers will be able to see the status of certain actions in one place instead of searching multiple platforms. Reminders also help everyone stay on track for required tasks.

Employees can continue to access the online HRConnect site, powered by ServiceNow, in the same way. From the intranet home page, click “Resources” in the top navigation, then “HRConnect” in the left Applications column.
