The quick thinking of two Bridgeport Hospital security officers saved a patient’s life and earned the officers May’s Great Catch Award. Andre Brickhouse and Samuel Oliver assisted the Emergency Department with a patient who needed medication for a behavioral issue. After the medication was given, Brickhouse and Oliver sensed something was wrong and noticed the patient was having breathing problems. Using CHAMP behaviors, the officers notified medical staff and the patient received help for a potentially life-threatening situation.
