Greenwich Hospital President Diane Kelly to retire

Diane Kelly

Diane P. Kelly, RN, DNP, Greenwich Hospital president and Yale New Haven Health chief nurse executive, has announced plans to retire in January 2025.

Kelly began her healthcare career at the Berkshire Medical Center as a staff nurse, moving into various clinical and leadership roles. She was promoted to chief operating officer in 2008 where she remained until joining Greenwich Hospital as chief operating officer a decade later.

Kelly became Greenwich Hospital president in 2020 and has advocated for advancing YNHHS’ mission as an academic health system. She has brought new technologies, programs and physicians to GH, enabling patients to access care not typically available in a community hospital. Kelly has overseen growth in key specialty areas such as neuroscience, oncology, urology, psychiatry and behavioral health, heart and vascular, women and children’s health, and emergency care – with GH recently earning Level III Trauma designation.

Many thanks to Kelly for her accomplishments, contributions and service to YNHHS.
